Stormwater Intern

Madelyn Craft is an incoming senior at the University of Illinois, majoring in Sustainable Design with minors in Landscape Studies and Natural Resource Conservation. She is most interested in native plants, green infrastructure, and environmental restoration. She is pursuing a career where she can implement aspects of both green infrastructure and landscape restoration into creating urban spaces that are both aesthetically pleasing and environmentally beneficial in the hopes of building healthier communities. In her free time, she enjoys birdwatching and reading.

Chantal Korde
Stormwater Intern

Chantal Korde is an incoming junior majoring in chemical engineering at the University of Illinois. She is very interested in sustainability, as well as clean energy. She hopes to enter a career that
improves the environment, either by removing pollution and restoring its beauty, or by developing innovative ways to help people coexist with the natural world. Some of her hobbies include reading and yoga, and she has a tuxedo cat back home.

Chengxu (Gary) Liu
Stormwater Intern

Chengxu (Gary) Liu is an incoming super-senior at the University of Illinois with a double major in Natural Resources and Environmental Science and Crop Sciences. He has a keen interest in natural landscapes, conservation and sustainability, particularly in soil and water quality. He loves conducting scientific research and working in lab and field settings. This summer, he hopes to solve issues related to soil and water conservation and management that supports human well-being and ecological sustainability. His hobbies include biking, hiking, and swimming.
